Will the Jeff Beck Group Reform?
Wise words from Mr.Beck…
Once upon a time before they were famous a certain Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood made up the Jeff Beck Group. A group at the forefront of the British blues scene in the sixties they would indeed be considered a supergroup by today’s standards.
In a recent interview Jeff beck expressed his desire to reform the group for a one off gig…..in private.
That’s Jeff Beck for you, he said that he would love to play with Stewart and Wood again just to see what it sounded like but that it would not be done in public. He went on to say that the group were never in it for the money as they played small clubs and disbanded before the Woodstock era. Beck doesn’t like the idea of reunions going on tour, he believes what has happened in the past should remain so and it would be impossible to recreate that dynamic. I agree, but wouldn’t you just love to be in on that jam session?
Beck is the consumate guitarist, he is as happy messing around with a car engine as he is playing with Tom Jones, BB King or, erm, somebody from American Idol whose name I forget. We’ll forget about that one! How refreshing to hear somebody shunning a big money venture in order to maintain some dignity personally and professionally.
If he changes his mind I’d still buy a ticket ![]()
Here’s some Jeff…..

Miles
he also turned down being in the Rolling Stones, the slot was filled by Ronnie Wood, because he didn’t want the lifestyle !
He’s a top man as you rightly say

Rod,
It is refreshing to hear isn’t it? He’s certainly aged gracefully.
