I loved the size of this dog in relation to its owner, that and the fact it stopped and posed for me!

Here’s the resident cat at the abbey, I was playing around with exposure levels and this reminded me of an old Black Sabbath album cover!

    Miles,
I love the variety of these photos. I thought the caption for the kestrel fitted the photo above it “I regularly watch this fella….” :)

    Hi Miles:

I like Serving Afternoon Tea - for the black and white, the concentration on the man’s (all but) hidden face and the formal tea set up which is rapidly a vanishing tradition tho’ still hanging on. In 20 years that photo will be a record of a disappeared custom . . .

I like the photos, like especailly those with people.

    Laura,
Thanks for that, I hid the waiters face because I didn’t want his ugly mug spoiling my site :)

    Miles,

I have a rectangular 1930s afternoon tea stand which sits on my dressing table full of cosmetics…. a new use for a traditional plate. Of course when people come around for a spot of tea, I give it a wipe on my sleeve and pop a few sandwiches and lemon curd tarts on :)

We’re all in agreement it seems so with your kind indulgence, please continue to feed our imagination with your wonderful photographs.

    Miles,

I absolutely love “The Week in Pictures.” It has become a favorite of mine. The notion that “Miles has probably published the week in pictures” is starting to be part of my Friday thought process. These are brilliant, not to mention stunning and engaging. I think my favorite this week is the “man and his dog.” Aside from the obvious personality of the shot, the framing of it is incredible. Stephen Spielberg could not have staged this any better. The dog is not only huge and interesting, he has the same hairdo as his owner. Funny how much they seem to resemble each other.

Hmmm, now that I look through this series again, maybe my favorite is the Hunter. You captured the energy of the hunt. The sky is unbelievably blue. Looks like a Colorado sky.

No, maybe my favorite is Cid’s cosmetic-caddy-turned-tart-stand.

It’s always a joy to come and visit over here!

    Have a nice weekend everyone.
