The New Canon EOS 1D Mark 1V

The new pro spec Canon camera….

Canon have announced the upgrade to their pro series EOS 1D Mark 111 camera. This is the new version of the remarkable mark three with it’s ten frame per second burst rate which became the camera of choice for many sports and wildlife photographers.
The mark four has the same cropped sensor as the mark three and retains its 10 fps but now boasts many new upgrades:

16.1 Megapixel APS-H CMOS sensor
Dual “DIGIC 4” processors for high performance, natural colour and noise control
Continuous shooting at 10fps with up to 121 shot large JPEG burst with UDMA 6 card
ISO range of 100 to 12,800 - expandable up to 102,400, and down to 50
100% high-magnification, wide-area viewfinder
New 45-point AF system, 39 of which are cross-type points
Auto Lighting Optimizer and Peripheral Illumination Correction
Live View Mode shooting
Full HD movie shooting with manual control and selectable frame rates
3.0” Clear View II LCD monitor with 920,000 pixels
Environmentally protected magnesium alloy body
Optional WFT-E2 II Wireless File Transmitter compatible with GPS and External HDD
More ergonomic camera controls for easy operation

The mega pixel count has been increased and the soon to be standard feature on all DSLR’s, the HD movie shooting has been added for those considering the 5D Mark Two. Like all of Canon’s pro series cameras it has a fully sealed body but with a much improved 3″ monitor with seven adjustable brightness levels.

This will appeal to a very select market who want an ultra fast camera which is built like a tank and captures images otherwise too fast for most cameras.
