The January Sales
iPhone diary doesn’t bag a bargain…
Ok, here’s a question; Have you ever found a proper bargain in the sales? I don’t mean a swimming costume from two seasons ago, I mean something which the week before was twice the price? I haven’t.
Here’s an indoor market in Lincolnshire, a grim sight more often than not. Far from being a snob I find it virtually impossible to buy anything of any merit in these places whatsoever. It’s a shame because they are usually housed within fine old buildings and could do better than sell car boot sale style junk. But pricing is an issue these days and they do cater for those at the lower end of the earnings scale so is it a deliberate sales ploy I wonder?
What was interesting was the sign; 80% off. So what does that tell us? 80% off what in the first place? How can you charge 80% less for anything? It’s worth of a pause for thought.

I’ve never understood the sale mentality myself.
If it’s genuinely in the sale then it’s there because they can’t sell it - why would I want to buy something nobody else wanted ?
