Something to Smile About
A little cheer for you all…
We all have our bad days, they’ll be a few to come this year no doubt and I am reminded of a few lines written by someone who knew…
“Always, when you think you can’t carry on,
A little light from somewhere comes along,
That once again you overcome and cross the line
To let you sing of happiness and sunshine
The daily burdens you carry with ease and once again have strength, courage and belief”
I don’t know what it is but whenever I feel like giving up there’s a DJ on www.planetrock.com who seems to stick this song on and it never ceases to make me smile again. I have never owned a single song by this band but when I hear this and it brings me out of some dark place I feel guilty for not owning the entire back catalogue.
Crank the volume up and take it for what it is, I hope it makes you smile and for my mum who knows when not to ask….

Miles,
I love this silliness!
I saw The Quo live years and years ago when they played the Radio 1 roadshow in Blackpool. They shared the bill with Eternal, when Louise Nurding/Redknapp was still with them. I think only the Hendrix, Isle of Wight gig could compare with its significance.

some things just work !
I know people sneer at Quo but they are one of the most popular live acts in this country and you can see why.
Nobody is going to even know who Rhianna and Ne-Yo are in 40 years let alone queue for a ticket to see them.
Go Quo !!

Rod is quite right. Many groups/singers come and go, but only a few remain timeless. Thanks for sharing, Miles
Music certainly lifts the spirit!

Everyone,
Thought you might like this one! You can’t beat songs like this every once in a while.
They’ve still got it!
