Roger Waters Tribute to Rick Wright

How to put your differences to one side…

Roger Waters, the former lead singer of Pink Floyd has, in my opinion paid a warm tribute to his former band member and keyboard player the late Rick Wright.

Despite their differences in recent years Waters spoke of his sadness and regret that the reformed Pink Floyd for Live8 didn’t take it further. Nick Mason, the band’s drummer spoke of his friend of forty five years and a realisation of his own mortality and it is clear that his death has had a profound effect on musicians and fans alike. In an age of talent show fly by nights and z list celebrities this was a man who started with nothing, did what he loved, earned millions but kept his dignity in a quiet and unassuming way.

You cannot access his official website at roger-waters.com, there is nothing more than a picture of a sea of burning candles. Enough said.
