Photographs of Chefs
It’s a dirty job but someone has to do it!!
We are busy restructuring the company website to encompass all of the hotels, resorts and restaurants under one banner so to speak. Part of the remit will be to make more of a play on the food, the menus and the chefs. To this end I am photographing the leading chefs for both the website, our own magazine and the relevant lifestyle magazines for each particular venue in each country.
I’ll post some on the photography website when I get chance but here’s one I like more for the sizzling frying pan than the ugly French chef ![]()
Thought I’d share this practice shot, one which is destined for the recycle bin. If nothing else it shows the sheer pleasure my staff feel for working for me!!

Don’t forget to embed some links out of the way on high page rank pages
Great shot btw

Miles,
I really enjoy these “behind the scenes” photos of artists at work. Whether the subject is a chef, a bricklayer, farmer, athlete, parent, or painter — seeing candid shots of people in the midst of creating is so uplifting.
Very much appreciated right now.

Miles,
in your magazine? Cheffettes will run your door down to work with him if you advertise with his photo!
I wouldn’t mind being cooked for by that chef! Will he be page 3 or centre fold
Interesting times with lots going on - thank you for sharing it with us.

Miles,
Who said anything about blue shorts? I was thinking more kitchen whites and the plating up of something spectacular
Don’t worry about Elsie, I’ll make sure she’s heavily sedated when we visit ….. if fact we all will be so you can tell your staff they’ll be quite safe

I agree with Melissa, uplifting shots indeed, Miles. Sorry for being so quiet of late, I’ve been swamped with editing. I was speaking to a friend the other day about how draconian certain laws have become now that everyone’s seeing terrorists behind every rosebush, and frankly, general consensus has it that most governments are promoting a sense fear amongst the citizenry for the very reasons previously mentioned, i.e. Big Brother syndrome. Pretty soon we won’t even be able to send an email without having it intercepted. Oh, wait, that’s already happening. Sheesh!

Ladies, ladies, ladies, safety is quite overrated. I think Miles should begin shooting for a calendar. Think of the profits that could be generated. Please don’t sedate Elsie; I want to she her with a full head of steam.

Xenny,
You’re forgiven even if you do refresh my sense of paranoia knowing that you edit idiots like myself.
Excellent comment, nice to have you back.

Miles,
Great sample photo. Love to see behind the scenes.
Must go. I’d write more but I think I’m getting estrogen poisoning from reading your comments.

Annie,
Elsie with a full head of steam would be a sheer delight, it’s really Melissa and myself that I worry about
As for the calendar I’m all for it but suspect Miles might not approve (we might have to sedate him instead
)…. lord knows why for such a fine figure of a man
By the way what’s ‘estrogen poisoning’….. GDave seems to have it, one of us should tell him there’s no cure, not on this site anyway

Hi Miles,
Crackin shot of Pascal there with a cheeky expression that nearly says he didn’t burn something, but the smouldering pan reveals otherwise ha ha love it. Very much a contrast from the last shot you posted of a Chef with Xav in the Pastry section casting his critical eyes and passion over a dish with young Seb eagerly beavering in the back.
I’m looking forward to more soon

Karl,
You should have seen where I placed the smouldering pan after I took the photo
