GDave,
They recorded loads of songs like this, I remember one of his last ever interviews before his death when Radio One were promoting an anti drugs campaign and a DJ asked him for his thoughts on what a young person should say if offered drugs.
He knew he was dying as a result of his drug use and his answer was gut wrenching. He managed to get the point across in a way a million posters never could.
Tragic really.

GD,
<i>condensers/compressors</i>
I always like a healthy dose of compression on my guitar sound but one of the dangers is it clips the top and bottom end frequencies.

Better equipment and the ability to manipulate sound means they are of less use nowadays.
Being brutally honest - things do sound a lot better nowadays

Cheers

Miles,
A seriously good note to end the day on. I've really no idea why modern day bands don't feed themselves through condensers/compressors (help me, Rod) like the oldies did. It just sounds so good, especially with this kind of song-writing. Looking forward to <strike>thieving</strike> seeing your new video ideas!
