I left out some stuff I hate(Lynard Skynard - ugh) and some stuff you have probably heard (CCR, The Band). Give me a day and I'll post all the bands these guys influenced - REM (back when they were good), Corrosion of Conformity, Blind Melon. I can't wait to get into the 80s and 90s now! Yet another band I have never heard of. I'll be spending some time on Itunes tonight looking these guys up. I love learning about bands that were previously unknown to me - having a whole catalog of music to experience and enjoy while not waiting miserably for the next album to come out.
