New Light Through Old Windows
A fresh look to the blog
Hopefully you will have started to see a couple of subtle changes to the blog and its layout, I’m not done yet, there’s more to come. I am begining the process of revisiting some old blog posts which have proved to be popular by the amount of hits they receive and improving the layout etc. The photo gallery will be next, this will be a big job and will change over time rather than in one go but it will, I am sure be all the better for it.

Fly Macro Shot
Anyway, I hope you like the changes and my thanks go once again to my brother and Canon cameras without whom none of this would be possible.

Miles,
that shot is simply staggering, the filament detailing to the wings and the hairs is mind blowing - that picture could go in ANY publication.

Great photo–but creepy just the same.

Miles,
Ditto what Rod said. The detail is exceptional and the opportunism to get that shot is superb. I’m secretly hoping that the new camera and new layout sparks some photography tutorials.

Rod,
Thanks for that, I’m quite fond of it.

Annie,
I know what you mean, macro shots of bugs do reveal a lot of sinister looking detail.

GDave,
Thanks, I might well do that, there’s a few recipes first though!

Miles,
I agree with everyone — from Rod’s comment about the simply staggering photo to Annie’s suggestion that it’s a bit creepy to GDave’s subtle request for a tutorial!
Wow! Amazing shot.
And Rod — whatever you’re doing on the techy side here is wonderful. I have to say, I love the clean simplicity of this blog and now with the photos being such a central feature, it’s quite stunning.
