MERRY CHRISTMAS!
My Christmas Message………
Yes folks, it’s the highlight of your year, my message of goodwill to spread across cyberspace. Now gather around and pay attention…Oi, get back!! You in Colorado-I know you’re hiding! You can run but you can’t hide!
Seriously, I just wanted to wish all of you who visit, those of you who return for more punishment and those of you mad enough to leave a comment a very merry christmas from all of us (me) here at milescollins.com.
It has been a great year one way or another, much has happened but there’s more to come in 2009. I shall be posting more food related items in January when a hotel project I have been working on reopens with new menus and hopefully some ideas for you to try at home. I shall also be out and about with my camera in the next couple of weeks visiting some new and old favourite local places of interest as well as revamping the gallery at milescollins.com/photography. Taking some time off will mean cooking for myself so I’ll post some home cooking type recipes with a nod towards the current season.
Thanks to all that visit, for those who haven’t posted a comment but visit regularly both myself and the rest of the ‘family’ would love to hear from you. The ‘family’ has grown this past year and it is truly humbling to know you take the time to visit. My aim for next year is to welcome more of you into the family of contributors because it is the comments, hints, recipes and ideas you provide that really makes this blog.
Have a great Christmas, see you in a couple of days……

Merry Yule Miles !
Enjoy the site, great content and photos and I look forward to more next year.
Season’s Greetings to You and All Your Readers

Miles,
THANK YOU for providing us all with such a wonderful read, the sheer variety of it all. Your excellent recipes, many of which have been tested and truly enjoyed in the Nean household are now firmly on the menu.
We look forward to an exiting new year.
Happy Christmas to you and enjoy a well earned rest.
With all good wishes to you and all the great commentators far and wide, Health and Peace

Miles,
It’s the little things in life that often mean the most……. like George Clooney popping over and making me the best coffee I’ve ever had
Well done Miles, this is a living, breathing, excellent blog and I’ve enjoyed every day of it.
To you, your family and friends and this unique blog community….. happy Christmas.

Miles & gang,
I love you guys! You know, as much as you can love those you’ve never met.
Miles, you need to slow down and relax. If this prolific daily posting is what you do when you’re busy, I can’t imagine what will happen when you have some free time. You’re very hard to keep up with.
Now that I think about it, I have no idea how I found your blog, but I’m grateful I did. When I am with you all I feel as though we are having a brew in an English tavern (although beer is off limits because of that gluten thing of mine). I’ll have wine. My last name is McLean and the seat of the McLean Clan is Duart Castle on the Isle of Mull, Scotland. My family goes back to England and Scotland, so although I was born in Colorado, I have some threads of British/Scottish DNA. Maybe that’s what keeps bringing me back for more music, photography, recipes, humor, and sophisticated trash talk. I love it! You are a class group, that’s for sure. Thanks for providing the food, drinks, and the table in the corner of the pub, Miles. And I’m sorry I’ve recruited Cid over to my blog. It wasn’t easy, it took bribery (George Clooney) and a signing bonus (more George Clooney).
I wish I could invite you all over for dinner one night during the holidays. I will have a crowd spanning the ages here (from ages 95, 92 and on down). Grandparents, kids, cousins, friends — a colorful cast of characters for sure. Makes for lively and interesting conversations. You’d fit in just fine. I know it!
Take care everyone! Thanks, Miles. I do appreciate being included.
Peace and love,
Melissa

I heartily agree with the sentiments expressed by everyone, and am thus adding my tuppence worth
This blog has certainly become a firm favourite, and I always look forward to reading not only the post of the day but also the subsequent commentary.
I’ve gained insight into not only matters culinary, but have also been afforded a glimpse into the lives of the other family members. It’s always wonderful to gain some perspective of what life is like in other corners of the world. I’ve often read and reread the comments with a grin on my face; at other times I’ve nearly wet myself with laughter! The discussion (and the reactions) surrounding pigeons being converted into pie springs to mind…
However, I digress
Have yourselves a wonderful Christmas, one and all. May you and your families enjoy a time of peace and happiness, love and laughter, and above all, may the true warmth of Christmas fill your homes and your hearts.
God Bless.
Xenny and family.
