Kris Dollimore-Blues Guitarist
See him at a venue near you…
Last night was spent in the Tap and Spile pub in Lincoln, a watering hole renowned for bringing live music to the city. Last time I graced the premises was back in November for the return of Jon Gomm which is always a pleasure.
My mate Superglazer didn’t take any convincing to see a live guitarist and we were not disapointed. Kris Dollimore started out as a session musician and played with among others; The Dammed, Adam Ant and Del Amitri.
Heavily influenced by the British blues scene of the 60’s and legendary bluesmen Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson and John Lee Hooker, Kris played a great set of both acoustic and electric blues. His tour continues in the south of England followed by a couple of dates in Spain with his former group The Godfathers.

Miles,
What’s the music scene like in Lincoln these days? Good to know that Head Chefs do get out sometimes.
If I may drag you back to our virtual kitchen for a minute…. I’d just like to tell you that I’ve used some of the preserved lemons with a free range chicken today. Should they be rinsed before use? They have a fabulous lemony floral scent, quite different from the natural fruit. I think I’m going to like these.

Cid,
Yes you can rinse the lemons off first, particularly if salted rather than preserved in oil. Good idea with the chicken, it’s a fantastic combination.
