Ex Yardbirds legends join forces….

The two best known exponents of the British blues scene of the late sixties; Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck are to play a one off concert together at the London o2 Arena on February 13th 2010.

Both former lead guitarists with the Yardbirds they are without doubt two of the greatest musicians ever to come out of England and the prospect of them playing together in London is sure to prompt a massive sales rush.
They recently performed together in Tokyo and enjoyed it so much that they’ve decided to play again in England. They have such a rich history of songs behind them it’s sure to be an amazing concert.

I hope they bring it to a couple of stateside venues! If they do - I’ll be there!

    Laura,
I think you’re right. No signs of a US show I’m afraid. Makes a change!!!

    I am very patient, Miles. . .

Several years back, Van was hardly playing the states, or doing one or two dates at very small clubs.

I’m taking the long view on this one.

These are two of my favorites, especially Clapton. Derek and the Dominos, Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith. I might have to pop over, see Cid’s new kitchen, have one of your fine meals and go listen to some music.

    :-)

    Laura,
The lure of the $ might prove to much but I doubt it, certainly in JB’s case. He’s always preferred being at home in England messing about with his car engine’s. It’s a sign of the man I suppose.
