I don't know that I've ever been called a canny lass. I made some hash after reading your post. A bit different from yours, but I did put 2 poached eggs on top. And a chipotle pepper mixed in with potatoes, ham, and beans (along with a few other random ingredients). Thanks for the idea, it was good. It takes some guts to put this on a restaurant menu. I have heard many a people say that they like basic food and what they can relate to. I guess it is like with many things, know your area and customers whom you wish to serve. Posh frocks will not sell everywhere, basic and good clothes will. Elsie Miles,
