Happy New Year
Out with the old etc, etc…..
New Year’s greetings to one and all, I know many of you are a few hours ahead of me (in more ways than one!) so I thought I’d get it in now. I don’t honestly know what day it actually is today, but then I am on holiday so I don’t care.
I don’t know about you but I’ll be glad to see the back of 2009,
it’s not been the most memorable of years, well it has but for all of the wrong reasons.
No doubt you are all sick of the global downturn, stockbrokers bonuses, redundancies, avian flu, swine flu, manflu (by far the worst according to scientific research-mine!) and all the other nonsense that has tested our nerves and now look forward to some new global misery to hit the headlines. Well, I’ve had enough of bad news stories and fully intend to embrace 2010 with a sense of positive thinking.
Now that does seem easy to write whilst I am on holiday but I do have some interesting projects lined up both personally and professionally which I shall share with you in due course but for now I shall bid you all a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.
Thank you all for visiting and playing your part in this global community, it is truly appreciated.
Miles

Happy New Year to both you and all your visitors.
Looking forward to what you’ll bring us in 2010
All the best to all
Rod

Miles,
I pretty much said it all in the comment section of your last post (photographing herons), but once again, thank you for creating such a warm and inviting “community.” I appreciate your hospitality and friendship, not to mention all that goes with it (good writing, wonderful photos, witty humor, engaging readers, etc.).
The best to all of you in 2010. I agree with Rod — I’m looking forward to what you have in store for us in the coming year.
Take care of yourself and enjoy some well-deserved time off!
Cheers,
Melissa

Miles,
and a Very Happy and Healthy New Year to you too.
May I add to your positive thoughts for your coming challenges and enterprises; that the plans you make flourish and bring forth fruit.
I look forward to hearing of your experiences that you may wish to share with us. Thank you for your wonderful blog posts during 2009 which must have been very difficult to sustain in your busy work schedule.
Smiley greetings and best wishes to you and your readers and great commentators,
Anne

Miles,
Thanks for all your hard work providing us with entertaining and thought provoking posts… how you manage to fit this into your already hectic schedule I don’t know but your readers are delighted you do.
Looking forward to hearing about your future challenges…. although I wish to point out there may be hazards associated with appearing as a centre-fold in Lincolnshire’s answer to Vogue, The Fens Quarterly …. I refused to let go of my apron, there followed a heated debate and someone got a whole Delice de Bourgogne square between the eyes
A mirthful new year to you and your readers!

Happy New Year All,
2009 can’t be over fast enough to suit me. I have high hopes for 2010, and will celebrate tonight in style. It’s time for a quiet year don’t you think? I am often reminded of the Chinese proverb, “May you live in interesting times” - I could deal with boring for a while.
