Death by CV Overload!

That’ll teach me….

You are more used to me bemoaning the lack of response when advertising for vaccant positions in the company I work for. Well not today! My God, I placed an advert in an overseas recruitment website and my email inbox has gone beserk! It’s no joke, and they’re all in French!
Anyway, it’s nice to know there are still good candidates out there.

I’m back home now after two days of torrential rain in the North West of England, if you think its a bit quiet then you know why, I’m buried beneath a mountain of CV’s! Never again will I moan…well, maybe, maybe not :)

Here’s a classic to keep you going although I beg you to ignore the ‘video’ and concentrate on the music. Trust me, if there was a better option for this song then I would have chosen it! They don’t write songs like this anymore……

I thought the video was better than the song
I watched it again with the sound turned off

I’ve always been a huge Rundgren fan from way back in his early years, and personally I think a better choice for this post would have been “Bang On The Drum All Day”…you know..

“I don’t want to work, I want to bang on the drum all day” and so forth.

I bet most of your CV respondents actually feel that way but are under some pressure to do something and so they sent you a resume for a position on your staff and can say that they did so. That doesn’t mean that you’ll necessarily get production out of them if you hire them though, so be very selective in your choice and good luck!

    Marc,
    Someone with taste :)
Well, it’s taken a long time sifting through them all and still they come in! Quite unbelievable.
