Claudine Auger-Classic Sixties Bond Girl
Photographs and information on actress Claudine Auger…
Claudine Auger, who played ‘Domino’ in the Bond film, Thunderball was a former Miss France and certainly one of the most beautiful of all the actresses who played a role in the franchaise.
Thunderball would prove to be the biggest film of her career by far, she never really managed to maintain the momentum after that despite appearing in a movie with two other Bond girls, Barbara Bach and Barbara Bouchet in the wonderfully entitled ‘Black Belly of the Tarantula’
Auger featured in the November 1965 special James Bond girls edition of Playboy alongside Ursula Andress, Daniella Bianchi and Shirley Eaton.
Although Hollywood would prove to be elusive for Auger she would go on to star in over eighty movies, most of which were non-English European productions which cemented her popularity in France, Spain and Italy.
A beautiful woman, loved by many a Bond fan for her look in a swimsuit and harpoon combo she had effortless beauty and for me, a classic look from that period.

Tremendous! The 1st image is superb.
Why does everything look so much better during this period

Healthy women such as this are actually great role models for today’s young girls who range from anorexic stick insects to obese at times. This beauty would not be accepted by today’s women’s magazines . But she looks so much more beautiful than many of the modern images.

Rod,
First one is great, getting different shots was harder than with Andress. The whole style was wonderful back then wasn’t it?

V,
Quite right, it’s a shame because grace and natural beauty should be the hallmark for models and modelling agencies.

Very nice!
With Rod on the first shot being special, sexy AND nicely framed and toned . . . .

Laura,
That caught my eye immediately, a classic shot from that era no doubt about it.
