Bros Reunion and Other Nightmares
The best and worst of the week so far…
Many of this blogs viewers are from America, I thank them all for visiting but envy them for being ignorant of the devastating news that 80’s boy band, Bros are set to reform. For the benefit of America and every other country outside of the UK this was a pair of brothers and a drummer called Ken or Craig or whatever who made everyone who wasn’t a thirteen year old girl’s lives a misery for two or maybe three years-certainly seemed longer.
So here’s my good news, counterbalanced as ever by the bad:
Led Zeppelin Reunion:
-
1. Time off work
2. Barn Owls
3. New book by Andy Rouse
4. Sauvignon Blanc in the garden
5. Black Sabbath with R.J. Dio dvd-nobody writes rock songs like them
6. House Martins nesting in the apex of my roof
7. Goldfinches-eggs have hatched, more colour and song in the garden
8. Bhut Jolokia plants growing like a bat out of hell-loads of fruit!
9. Resisting temptation to buy Canon EOS 1D Mark111-fastest camera on the planet-cash in the bank
Bros Reunion:
-
1. AOL upgrade-annoying
2. Norton Antivirus-see above
3. Wimbledon/Big Brother-TV overkill-but then I don’t watch tv anyway!
4. Price of petrol-see 1 & 2.
5. No internal sensor cleaning on EOS 5D-expensive-see 1, 2 & 4.
6. House Martins defecating on my roof tiles
7. Goldfinches defecating on my car.
8. Goldfinches eating 500g of niger seeds a day before defecating 500g on my car.
9.Growing anything outdoors in England-waste of time.
10. Not having new camera to play with
11. Bono singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Nelson Mandela-nauseating, who cares anyway-sort Zimbabwe out instead-no, not you Bono.
I could go on but I won’t-I’ll leave it up to you instead, what’s your Atilla the Hun (for good) and Gordon Brown (for bloody awful) ?

Miles

Ditch Norton (ALWAYS causes massive yukky things) and go with TrendMicro Anti-Virus if you can find it. It only has what is really needed and puts nothing out there that will screw things up.
Continue to sit in the yard with wine; it is good for the soul. Besides, you don’t need to use your petrol to get there.

Annie,
Thanks for the advice, I’ve ditched Norton
Will take your advice to sitting in yard and drinking wine for sure-I’ve spent enough on petrol this week
Good to hear from you.

Miles,
Glad you got rid of Norton. I did 2 years ago and have had no problems whatsoever with NOD32. It is ranked very highly. Check it out and chill out in your garden.
