					<description>Rob,
Welcome to the site and thanks for your kind words, much appreciated. You might like these that I took not long back...

http://www.milescollins.com/wordpress/photographing-barn-owls-and-their-young

They can be seen all around the fields there, a good spot is close to the main road, just pull in and position yourself near the edge. Dusk is good but then I've seen them at ten in the morning as well.
Good luck and I hope you enjoy your visit, would love to know how you get on.
Kind regards

<description>Miles, Just stunning photographs. Am off to Lincolnshire next month and apparently there are residnet barn owls in the corn barn. From what you say, it sounds like dusk is the better time but I cant wait to catch a glimpse of one in flight!

Thanks for sharing - they're amazing

					<description>Wow, what beautiful shots!
Do you mind if I ask whereabouts in Lincolnshire you live?
I'm doing a 7 month project on Barn Owls for my BA degree in Wildlife Photography, so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated =]

Thanks,
Nikki</description>

<description>Unbelievable! That guy (or girl) is locked right onto you. Their eyesight must be amazing. I guess that's where the term "hawkeye" came from. Great photos! I'm impressed. Thanks for sharing them.

					<description>Cid,
It's hard to describe how it feels to be trying to photograph one when it is coming straight at you. They are indeed a beautiful bird.

					<description>Miles,

That final shot is my favourite, he's looking straight at you. How wonderful to see such a thing. You would like the albatross I saw once, very photogenic and thankfully slow and graceful in flight around New Zealand.
