Bank Holiday Blues
Snow for Easter Sunday in England
Woke up this morning (I sound like Muddy Waters!) to a blanket of snow and the prospect of a day indoors. I don’t mind snow in January and can cope with some in February but not at the end of March. I should be writing about Spring, not Lapland.
Even the regular wildlife in my garden were slow to emerge, unless, like myself they were watching the Malaysian Grand Prix. No sooner had I put some food out for the blackbirds and two robins then the snow had covered it all. The resident mouse managed to find his way up the bird feeder as usual before I scared it and myself by falling over chasing a black cat.
The rosemary bush will have to go, it’s the second time I’ve fallen over it and it looks like it’s given up. I shall take a generous cutting in a minute for my lunch today; roast rump of lamb with boulangere potatoes.
To ward of the annoyance of having to change my bank holiday plans I shall do little else other than eat and watch Martin Scorcese’s brilliant dvd box set tracing the history of the blues
Have a great Easter.

Happy Easter, having lamb here as well, Lamb ragu lasagna. I will have to pick up the book you mentioned in the previous post - very few cured or smoked products I dislike. It just really never occured to me to try it myself, other than gravlax. Thanks for the heads up.

Miles,
I recommend a marinade of Arnica for your bruises
and also that you move the bird table.
