America UK Tour 2009
Legendary Folk Band to Tour Britain
America, one of the most underrated bands (in my opinion) to come out of the States are heading to the UK for a tour. I say the States but they are actually part English and spent much of their early years in the UK playing gigs in the London area. Best known for the classic ‘A Horse with no Name’ they had a string of hits throughout the Seventies and Eighties helped by Beatles producer George Martin.
They’ve gone through a sea of changes over the years but continue to record and tour extensively following renewed interest from the public wanting to know where Janet Jackson had sampled the guitar riff from for her hit single ‘Someone to Call My Lover’.
They are over here in March 2009, they’re worth a evening of anyone’s time and money…
