A Photograph of Tupholme Abbey in Lincolnshire

What a difference two years makes….

I’m a bit behind on this one to be honest. I revisited the scene of one of my first photographic forrays of buildings not long ago in the company of my brother. Tupholme Abbey is a fine place and for those of you desperate to know more about it click here.

It was the third visit actually, the second time saw me refraining from scrumping some fine looking apples for an old fashioned sauce recipe to accompany roast pork. Anyway, two years on and I’m armed with a new camera, ten million more pixels, a dedicated wide angle lens and a new pair of boots to tackle the sheep droppings. Why oh why doesn’t the council make an effort with this place? If it was in Cornwall it would be rammed with tourists buying books and dvd’s on it. Get the sheep fenced off, clean it up and promote it you numbnuts.

Here’s what virtually everyone living in England is missing out on…………

    Miles,
it’s a great spot and so important as so many ancinet abbey sites in Lincolnshire are now nothing more than earthworks.
