Meat, Fruit and veg for the Christmas break

It seems as though everyone buys too much food over Christmas for fear of forgetting something or running out, we get to the supermarket cashier and the reality of how much we have spent kicks in. Do you really need a bottle of advocaat or that box of luxury nuts?

To put things into perspective I thought I would give you a taste of my shopping list, this is just a sample of what I have ordered, to list the lot would bore you to death:

I wouldn’t like to be behind you at the tills in Tesco

You’ll not get that lot in a hand basket - bet you needed a trolley :)

    Miles,

Far be it for me to be picky but is 40 carrots really enough? :)

Ordering on that scale would frighten anyone. Do you remember the first time you were in charge of a list like that and how you felt? This year I was conscious of not over doing the domestic shopping and was beginning to feel almost saintly… when I suddening discovered there was no toilet paper in the house :)

    Relax and enjoy.

    Cid,
I do remember the first year of Christmas ordering and it was awful, trying to think of everything we might need for a week was a nightmare-I barely slept!
    Have a great Christmas

    Miles,
Just a little order then. Hope you don’t run out of pepper and salt :)
Like Cid, the Nean household tried to be sensible this year and not overdo the shopping whilst still having a well stocked larder. After the “last” shopping excursion I discovered that I had forgotten the milk :) .
Merry Christmas and some well deserved restful hours.
