1991-2009…time for a concert with my brother!
Turning back the clock….
It was 1991 when my brother and I last went to a gig together, far too long I know but our paths have gone down different routes over the years with my travels but now, thankfully we have come full circle in 2009, ready once more to share a pint and watch a band. I’ve seen some great artists over the years, a real mixed bag from Motorhead to John McLaughlin, George Benson to Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen to Deep Purple, Joe Satriani to Yes, The Scorpions, UFO, Saxon, Whitesnake, Stanley Clarke, Gary Moore, Mountain even Lionel Richie and Kool and the Gang (I was young) but what ever the artist it was the evening as a whole that I always loved.
There’s something quite special about seeing a band or artist you grew up listening to and being able to appreciate a live reproduction of their music. Tomorrow night, for me is about turning back the clock and remembering those great days and nights way back when. So here’s the last musician we went to see together just as he was starting to make a name for himself……

Miles,
Enjoy yourselves but remember not to get into any fights (can’t believe I’m saying that to two adult men so I might have to think about that for a minute…. no, I’ve thought about it and I’m sticking with it

Miles,
.
My father used to say: “Make sure you have some good memories”.
You clearly seem to have some. Go forth and make some more ~ ~ ~
Enjoy - both of you

Boys — be safe and make smart choices. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said that to my 2 boys.
:-)
I’m going to check back for a photo display of the night!

Okay Boys,
The real questions are: Will there be a mosh pit? Will you be flying along over it? Will you, wisely, be wearing earplugs, or are you going risk the ringing tones you could experience for at least a day after?
